2018 is done and dusted! Whew! I sure have mixed feelings about the just concluded…
Let’s Love God Loud.
As I was sitting down, thinking what topic to start this Mompreneur category with, I tuned to the Faith Africa channel and caught the tail end of Joyce Meyer’s teaching as she spoke about us not hiding our lights under a bushel. She ended with this rousing cry – LET’S LOVE GOD LOUD!
I immediately knew this is what I am to write about.
In a world where we now have to apologize for our faith, where we have to be diplomatically correct in our speech and where the name ‘christians’ don’t have much of a good reputation, we Christian Entrepreneurs are in a unique position to make a difference by Loving God Out Loud.
How do we do that? By this – “Whatever you are doing, work at it with enthusiasm, as to the Lord and not for people”- Col 3:23
We are to run our businesses differently. We should stand out with integrity, excellence, discipline, promptness in all we do. Imagine Jesus is your employee, your team mate, your partner, your supplier, your customer, the person making enquiries on the phone. How would you treat Him? That is the same way you should treat those people if you are doing your business ‘unto the Lord’.
We all agree actions speak louder than word so if we say “I’m a Christian” your actions should portray that you are indeed a Christian.
Even the Bible says “How can you say you love the Lord if you don’t DO what He says?”
I remember a post my friend made about a painter or is it electrician who was to work on her house. The moment he said “I am a Christian, I cannot cheat you”, she told him to get out of her house.
That post made me weep. That is how badly we have desecrated the name of Jesus. Being a Christian is now associated with lying, cheating, dishonesty, every vile immoral character. That is not who Jesus is. That is not who we should be.
Loving God Loud is in the DOING, not saying. Your action is what should show your love.
Let’s love God out loud, entrepreneurs. Let’s show His life and love in how we run our businesses.
